Master of Music
The University of South ³ÉÈË¿ì²¥'s Master of Music graduate program is approved by
the National Association of Schools of Music, the Southern Association of Colleges
and Schools and the ³ÉÈË¿ì²¥ Commission on Higher Education. Students in the program
can choose from concentrations in music ³ÉÈË¿ì²¥ (alternative master's or traditional
master's), performance (piano, voice, woodwinds, brass or percussion), or collaborative
keyboard. The traditional master's of music with a music ³ÉÈË¿ì²¥ concentration
is offered in the "Hybrid-Flex" format (the degree can be completed either online
or in-person).
Academic Requirements
- Undergraduate Degree in Music
- A minimum GPA of at least a 3.0 on all undergraduate work. In exceptional cases, applicants may be considered with at least a 2.5 GPA on all undergraduate work, or at least a 2.75 GPA on the last 60 hours of undergraduate work.
- International applicants: TOEFL score (minimum 71)
Departmental Admission Requirements
Leads to ³ÉÈË¿ì²¥ Class A Professional Music Education (P-12) Certification, Instrumental or Choral. This degree program is delivered in the "Hybrid-Flex" format and can be completed either online or in-person.

- Teaching Certificate
- Video of teaching: 10 – 25 minutes. Acceptability determined by music ³ÉÈË¿ì²¥ faculty
